Secure & nonsecure warning

November 12th, 2008

I keep getting the Secure & nonsecure warning popup when I open different MDD pages.  Can I disable it?

Answer:  You bet.  It drives me crazy too.  Here is how:

1) Open Internet Explorer

2) Click on Tools

3) Click on Internet Options

4) Click on the Security Tab

5) Click on the Custom Level button

6) Under the Miscellaneous section look for “Display Mixed Content”

7) Click on Disable for Display Mixed Content instead of Prompt

8) Click on OK twice

9) Close Internet Explorer and reopen

10) Open the webpage that was displaying the warning message, the message should not appear now.

Today’s Mail Feature

November 2nd, 2008

We are proud to debut our newest feature: Today’s Mail!

The Today’s Mail feature allows your mailbox holders or mail recipients access to a simple, but crucial bit of information to help them plan their daily tasks.

Is today’s mail in yet?

Plus, it does it in a way that does not flood their in-boxes or bother them if they don’t need to know today.  More importantly, Today’s Mail does all this in a way that is simple and easy for you!

This additional feature will:

*Give you an extra level of customer service your competition can’t match.
*Cut down on time wasted by “is the mail in yet?” calls
*Help your location get the cutting edge of information technology
*Help direct more visitors to your web site.
*Make you happy.  Why? Because its FREE upgrade to your existing account.

Here is how it works:
Once Mail is out and available for pick up, simply push the icon on the main screen to update your “Store Web page” with the icon that says: CLICK TO CHANGE STATUS.  All of your mail recipients will be able to see this page from anywhere, without even having to log in. The system will automatically reset to MAIL NOT IN status every night at 2am local time.  The next day, when the mail is ready, just click the button again to repeat the process.

Here is how to set it up,

1. Log on to your stores main page.

2. Click the icon this icon:

this will take you to the “My Account” section.

3. enter your time zone into the Store timezone offset field.
the system should default to your local time zone if your computer is set up correctly.  But just to be sure, check next to the time zone field for a link to the time zone chart (below) to help you choose.
*Only use positive or negative number as reference.

How do I add addtional names to one box?

August 30th, 2008

Each customer/resident/apartment you set up can have as many additional names associated with it as you like.  To add these, click the “Account Info” button next to the customer’s name in the customer list.  This button looks like a business card.

Once you click the “Account Info” button, add as many names as you like to the “Joint Account Holders” field, separated by commas.  The search function will search this field automatically.
